Kensington School awarded Green Flag

We are delighted to have received our 'Green Flag' as awarded by the Eco-Schools organisation.

These are awarded when schools show an outstanding and continued commitment to environmental concerns.

Over the past years, Kensington has set up a number of Eco-committee activities that have raised awareness through a number of initiatives, including beach and forrest cleans, food wastage audits in the dining hall and action plans to reduce this, promoting recycling across the school through quizzes and challenges and overall ensuring that the environment and eco-concerns prevail throughout the school. They have even built a bug hotel and welcomed other schools from Denmark and Chile.

Our thanks to the students who make up the Eco-committee, our two lead teachers, Mr Vanderhayden and Mme Thebault and the school parents who have been instrumental in driving this initiative forward. Well done and thank you.
