This vacancy arises due to the retirement of our longest serving member of staff. We are
seeking someone who can uphold and enhance the long established high standards of our
language development. You will teach and support our international pupils who arrive with
limited English skills. Classes are taught in small groups for all primary years from EYFS to
Year 6. It is essential that you have a recognized qualification in EFL teaching and that you
have experience working with primary age children.

The successful applicant will be a dedicated and caring professional, ready to join our small,
supportive primary teaching team. You will work closely with all class teachers to prepare
and deliver lessons that enable pupils to access the British curriculum quickly and to develop
strong, confident communication skills in English. You will have substantial knowledge and
experience of how to develop language skills at both beginner and intermediate levels. You
should have a strong track record of teaching children to read, write and speak in English
with the aim of joining their year group’s daily English lessons as quickly as possible.
