GCSE Art and Design Trip
GCSE Art and Design students from Forms 4 and 5 had the opportunity to visit two contemporary art galleries.
Students enjoyed a guided tour of Can Framis in Poble Nou, which is the latest Fundacio Vila Casas museum.
They were able to view around 300 works on show dating from the 1960’s onwards by a wide range of artists born or living in Catalonia.
At the Moco museum in El Born, they enjoyed a wide range of unique and inspiring contemporary paintings, sculptures and digital immersive art from artists such as Damien Hirst to Guillermo Lorca and Robin Kid.
The art trip encouraged the students to question the world around them and inspired their personal art coursework portfolios.
