Junior 3 students visit Neolithic mines in Gavá

On Wednesday 24th January, as part of their science topic on rocks, children from Junior 3 visited the prehistoric ‘Mines of Gavá’.

They saw how the Neolithic people lived and how they used rocks to make tools.

The children learnt how the Neolithic people mined for variscite, a green mineral used for jewellery and participated in also a workshop back at school where they made necklaces from stone.
