Kensington School opened its doors for the first time in 1966. With few students, in modest surroundings and spurred on by the ambition to deliver the best British education in Barcelona, it proved to be a success.

We were therefore delighted to welcome back some of those founding students as well as those who joined shortly thereafter – for they are the original Kensingtonians.

On a warm September evening, we gathered with existing and new parents to celebrate the start of the academic year and reminisce about times past. The city and indeed the country has changed a great deal in these almost 60 years, yet the spirit of what made Kensington School such a special place remains to this day.
