Students in J1 and J2 visited the Maritime Museum in Barcelona. This term, they have been learning about different modes of transport and materials used. The trip began with the children using Lego! They were shown a presentation using Lego pirates trying to create a way of rescuing treasure from the bottom of the ocean.

They made different types of pulleys, looking at how the mechanisms work. After discussing each one and feeding the information back to the class, they made group machines to rescue the treasure.

Once they had finished, they headed to the Museum, to have a look at different types of
boats, how they were built and the different features within them.
