Sant Jordi Celebrations 2026

The school community celebrated Sant Jordi, a much-loved tradition in Catalonia that combines literature, culture, and the exchange of books and roses. Inspired by the legend of Saint George, Sant Jordi is a special occasion that promotes a love of reading and creativity across the region.

Sant Jordi Literary Competition 2026
This April the Spanish and Catalan Departments have organised the Sant Jordi Literary Competition where all students from the Junior and Senior school studying these subjects have taken part. Students have created poems, short stories, comics, lapbooks, news articles, letters and drawings on the Sant Jordi Legend and a wide variety of topics. During the Sant Jordi week their work has been exhibited in the main hall at school. A book collecting all the work produced by the winners will be coming up soon.

The celebrations provided a wonderful opportunity for students to engage with Catalan culture, showcase their creativity, and take pride in their literary achievements.
