Make your own fan boat!

Junior 5 students enjoyed a hands-on science activity designing and building their own fan boats. Working in small groups, pupils tested different designs to see how changes affected speed, balance, and movement across water.

The activity supported their science learning by exploring forces such as air resistance and propulsion, as well as encouraging prediction, testing, and evaluation. Through practical investigation, students developed problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding of how scientific principles work in real-life designs.
