GCSE Fine Art students visit the MNAC

The Art Department organised an exciting trip to the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), near Plaça Espanya, for Form 4 and Form 5 GCSE Fine Art students.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to interpret and analyse the work of a wide range of artists through focused drawing activities. As they explored the Museum’s diverse collection, they drew figures, characters, and objects from different periods, encouraging careful observation and a deeper connection with the artworks.

The visit aims to stimulate attentive looking and provide students with a closer, more personal engagement with art. The experience will directly inform their personal investigations and help them develop the critical and analytical skills essential for their GCSE Fine Art studies.
