This month, many of the Form 1 and 2 students enjoyed a geography department trip to the Bay of Naples in Italy. Students started their trip visiting Naples experiencing the vast labyrinth of underground tunnels and chambers beneath Naples and saw the magnificent Mount Vesuvius, the largest volcano on mainland Europe. They later explored the effects of its eruption on the nearby archaeological site of Pompeii, and discovered what life was like in ancient Roman times. Students also explored the stunning island of Capri, famous for its rugged rocks, caverns and coves. Food is at the heart of Italian culture, so there were many opportunities for students to enjoy the culinary delights of Italy.
