Kensington School Sixth Form is recognised as an ‘A’ Level centre of excellence. Results are significantly above the national average in the United Kingdom and place the school as one of the leading Sixth Forms in Spain.
Our Sixth Form offers much more than outstanding teaching and learning—it provides a supportive environment where students can explore their interests, develop their strengths, and shape their futures. We offer AS and A2 Level qualifications through Edexcel (London). Most students typically study four subjects, though depending on individual goals, some may opt for three or five.
Academically, the Sixth Form is both challenging and rewarding. Students are expected to meet high standards, building on their strong GCSE foundations. Subjects available include Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, French, Geography, History, Mathematics, Art, Physics, and Spanish. In addition, students participate in non-examinable courses such as Physical Education or PSHE to support broader development.
A Levels are internationally recognised as one of the most rigorous and respected qualifications for university entrance. As such, fluency in written and spoken English is essential for success, except in language-specific courses, which are taught in the language being studied.
Sixth Formers also play an active role in school life, serving as role models and contributing to the school community. All students in Lower and Upper Sixth are expected to lead by example.
Kensington School remains a traditional school rather than a Sixth Form college. As such, Sixth Form students are required to attend school full-time, including supervised study periods, which are key for independent research and in-depth learning essential at A Level.
