Everyone at Kensington offers our warmest congratulations to such a wonderful bunch of young people who have such bright futures ahead of them.
For our Form Five students it was also a tough year as they too had to complete their exam courses online. Nonetheless they did brilliantly! Despite all the unprecedented difficulties our GCSE pupils received the splendid grades they richly deserved and we are immensely proud of their outstanding achievements.
Remarkably almost 27% of our entries were graded NINE (A double star in the old system) compared to a national average of 7%. We have always prided ourselves as being a school which highly values exceptional academic achievement and to exceed the UK mean for all schools by some 20% is a real cause for celebration.
These students have now qualified for their chosen Advanced Level subjects and we look forward to welcoming them into the sixth form in September.
We have always believed in the value of the Trinity of parents, pupils and teachers working in harmony together enabling students to fulfil their potential. Although 2020 has been a most unusual year for our exam candidates it is clear that the core value of mutual support and respect between home and school has, yet again, triumphed and enabled our enthusiastic and conscientious youngsters to achieve their academic goals.
