The New York marathon is the largest marathon in the world, spanning 42 km across the five boroughs of the great city.
This year saw a record number of participants with 55,644 runners taking part. One of those was our Leader of Learning and Head of Geography, Ms Claire Cheetham. An accomplished runner - you may see her in her kit leaving school at the end of the day on her run home - participating in the event was a long held ambition.
After months of training, she made her way to the United States during our half-term break and finished the course in a fantastic time of 3 hours and 40 mins. Our heartfelt congratulations!
