Every Easter J6 hold the great Egg Drop competition. Students design and create devices to carry an egg from our school rooftop safely to the ground. The competition is all about science and in particular friction.
The winning design will be a device that is both secure and creates air resistance. The competition is judged in two categories; time it takes the egg to reach the ground and very importantly does the egg make it to the ground in one piece. We had 4 intact eggs and several 'splats' this year.
A great time was had by all and the children enjoyed showcasing their creative designs.
