Barcelona is our classroom: IGCSE Geography
We continue with our ongoing 'Barcelona is our classroom' series and focus on the work of IGCSE geographers in the city.
Students recently completed their fieldwork studies in Barcelona. They walked from Plaza Catalunya in a straight line transect back to Pedralbes, analysing changes in land use with distance from the city centre. They took CO2 and sound readings and completed environmental quality surveys at each site.
They have developed many data collection skills in the field and will now work to present and analyse the data and evaluate their work.
What a great opportunity to test the theory learned in the classroom!
