School Tennis Championship of Catalunya – Fundacío Jesus Serra
The 9th edition of the School Tennis Championship of Catalonia once again featured a Kensington School team. The tournament is organised by the Foundation Jesús Serra, the University Abat Oliba CEU and the Catalan Federation of Tennis and is sponsored by Toshiba, La Roca Village and HEAD.
Kensington School was represented in the Quarter-Finals by Max Khan and Nacho Peró in the Bachillerato division.
Max won his singles match 5-3, 4-1 – games played up to 4, with a 2 game difference. Sadly, Nacho lost 4-1, 4-2. This meant that they had doubles match to play in order to determine the winner. Here, Kensington won 4-1, 4-2 with power play from Max at the back of the court and skillful net play from Nacho.
Kensington School now progresses to the Semi-Final, to be played on Sunday 26th April.
