School Masters Vs Parents Football Match

Wednesday 26th October saw the much-anticipated return of the Kensington Schoolmasters vs. Parents FC football match.

Conditions favoured open, attacking football and the encounter did not disappoint. Parents FC came out of the blocks like a bat out of Hell building some devastating attacks from the back with their 2 new signings.

The Schoolmasters were certainly caught off guard – perhaps distracted by their having completed their school exams and reports that same week. The Parents took an early lead, which at one point looked unassailable due to their attractive brand of possession football but the Schoolmasters were not going to be defeated so easily.

The second half saw excellent pressure applied to the Parents FC with Mr. Voller making incisive runs into the opposition box and Mr. Kelly holding court in the centre of the park. At the final whistle the scoreboard read 5-3 to the Schoolmasters but that score line certainly didn’t reflect how close the game actually was.

As usual, Mr. Kail, Marc-Aurelio and Helena’s father kindly put on a delicious post-match spread which was greatly enjoyed by both staff and parents alike.

We look forward to the next encounter!

P.S. A hotline remains open for Schoolmasters centre-back Mr. Simpson, who does not seem to have turned up since kick-off.
