Kids’ Lit Quiz

After weeks spent with our heads buried in books trying to absorb every last detail, we set off on Thursday 9th of March with two teams for the annual “Kids’ Lit Quiz”, a literature competition among the international schools of Barcelona.

Eight students spread across J6, F1 and F2 were chosen to represent Kensington at this year’s quiz after having impressed Ms. Hewitt with their knowledge of popular literature.

This year the event was hosted by the American School of Barcelona whose students gave us a tour of their school upon arrival. Not long after the tour we found our seats in the library, where 60 questions stood between us and the coveted Kids’ Lit trophy. After a great start from both teams, the questions slowly got trickier and trickier, some related to books we had never even heard of let alone read. In the end, although our teams answered as many as they could, we were sadly not the winners this year. We did, however, have a great day, having learned a lot and had the opportunity to meet students from other schools.

Upon returning to school, we vowed to start reading in preparation for next year’s Kids’ Lit Quiz!
