JUNIOR MATHEMATICS CHALLENGE

JUNIOR MATHEMATICS CHALLENGE
On Thursday 30 April all pupils in Form 1 and 2 and five pupils from Junior 6 sat the Junior Mathematics Challenge. The challenge is organised by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (www.ukmt.co.org) and consists of a multiple choice question paper designed to stimulate interest in maths. Tens of thousands of pupils simultaneously sit the paper, with the top 40% receiving bronze, silver and gold certificates. In addition, the top 5000 pupils are invited to enter the next level of challenge. It is the first time Kensington School has entered the challenge and we hope in the future to extend it to pupils in older year groups. Congratulations to all the pupils who took part! We look forward to receiving the results in about three weeks time.
