At the beginning of term Mr Steve Evans, Headmaster of the Junior School, launched a campaign to raise awareness in the school of the appalling European Refugee Crisis.
He led three school assemblies with invaluable help from Lucilla and Ignacio, from the Junior School, who spoke confidently and passionately about fundraising initiatives for the desperate refugees.
One of the main ways of raising money began on Friday with our first bake sale. So many families with children in J6 were kind enough to bake items for the stall. As can be seen from the three photographs there were queues of students and teachers eager to purchase the delicious cakes, buns and savoury items.
Each class will now take it in turn to host the regular Friday morning sale and we look forward to these future events being as successful as the first one.
Many congratuations to Mr Simpson and the pupils of Junior 6 who have set a superb example for all to follow.
