FORM 2 VISIT THE COSMOCAIXA

FORM 2 VISIT THE COSMOCAIXA SCIENCE MUSEUM

Form 2 visited the CosmoCaixa Science Museum on Friday 29th May as part of their Key Stage 3 studies in Georgraphy.
Of particular interest was the scaled version of the Brazilian Amazon forest. Over 1.000 m² in size, it reproduces one of the richest bio-diverse ecosystems in the world yet at the same time of the most fragile. Students were able to explore not just the under water sections, but the same area from above as well as the effects of tropical rainfall and walk through sections built replicating the temperature and atmospheric conditions.
With over 100 live specimens including indigenous flora and fauna, Form 2 students were able to enjoy the subject come to life and hopefully inspire and nurture their interest.
