The 3rd BISA Talent Show was held on Tuesday 28th April at the German school. BISA schools participated with a variety of acts that displayed the immense talent our youngsters have.
An eclectic mix of performances, from box line drummers to accomplished vocalists and a cappella singers, Bollywood dancing to skills on an urban scooter. Accomplished musicians comprising of guitarists, pianists, cellists and clarinetists. The BISA Talent Show showed that the international community of students in Barcelona is indeed extremely talented.
Vanisha and Karina who performed a colourful, vibrant and exotic Bollywood Dance represented Kensington School. Frederic played the guitar beautifully with real heart and soul and Talha brought the house down with his rendition of Michael Jackson’s inimitable dance style.
The event was organised, promoted, run and hosted by students from the BISA schools, and whilst there was plenty of talent on the stage, there was also hard work, commitment and drive by the volunteers working backstage. Together they ensured the evening was a huge success and we must congratulate all who took part and made this event possible –in particular our own backstage volunteers Aleksandra, Nityan and Cheni.
Special mention for all those students and parents who took the time to attend the evening and support their friends. Thank you.
Finally, many thanks must go to both the Deutsche Schule for hosting the event and to Mark Pingitore, the BISA President. The talent show represents all that is good about the association, the coming together of students, parents and educators – working together to ensure our students make the most of their time at school.
All proceeds from the evening went towards the ‘Arts and Music Programme’ at the Sant Joan de Deu Children’s Hospital.
