Sixth Form Further Education

Students in the Sixth Form are already considering their options for further education. Those in the Upper Sixth have begun to prepare their UCAS applications and are busying themselves with their final choices and personal statements.

The deadline for applications is the 23rd January 2023 and they will receive much guidance and support from their subject teachers and tutors. The school has also signed up all students in the Sixth Form to 'Unifrog' a UK-based platform that offers careers advice, support and a comprehensive university database, detailing entry requirements courses around the world.

Lower Sixth students should also begin to consider where their studies will take them after Kensington and they too have access to the suite of resources 'Unifrog' has on offer.

In order to facilitate dialogue and offer our students a better understanding of study in the UK, on Monday 17th October, Kensington School hosted a mini-university fair, with representatives from the following universities visiting the school.

  • University of Cambridge
  • University of Leeds
  • University of Southampton
  • University of Surrey
  • University of Warwick
  • University of York

Our students were able to ask key questions and receive personalised answers in the comfort of their own school gym.

The British Council organised a wider university fair, hosted by the BSB in Castelldefels. Most Russell Group universities were present and students were able to engage with representatives from UCL, Imperial or Bristol amongst others.

We hope that students found both opportunities useful and we will of course, continue to seek opportunities to further enhance their university preparation.
