English students take a trip to The Lighthouse, Villanova.
The English department took junior students to visits The Lighthouse in Vilanova as a follow up on their work to do with "The Lighthouse KeeperĀ“s Lunch", a book by Ronda and David Armitage.
The students enjoyed a tour around the lighthouse learning about its history, they visited the museum and viewed a collection of artefacts along the way. It was wonderful to see and learn how a real lighthouse works and what the day to day life is like in a fishing port.
At the end of the day the students were given free time on the beach to enjoy some fresh air and have some fun in the sand! A very fun and interesting day filled with facts had by all!
