Visit from John Dougherty

Junior Students enjoyed a special visit from children's book author John Dougherty.

John Dougherty is an award-winning Northern Irish children's writer, from Northern Island. He worked as a primary school teacher in London during the 1990s and early 2000s, and during this period began to write stories for children. He is well know for his "Stink Bomb and Ketchup-Face" book sequence which is enjoyed by children across the world.

Our theatre was filled with music, smiles and laughter while the very talented John Dougherty sang, read and talked to the children about how he became an author. We hope his story inspired our junior students to follow their dreams.

After the talk was over the children were given the exciting opportunity to purchase his books and have them signed by John himself!
